► The painter Markus Konttinen (born 1957) works and lives in Helsinki. After graduating from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 1986, he has worked as a freelance artist and teacher. All leading Finnish art collections include works by Konttinen.
While Markus Konttinen’s technique has always been traditional oil painting, his themes have changed throughout his oeuvre. This time, the subject of his observations is surrounding nature, often his own garden.
