Pinkkiä betonia!

► What has Kouvola, known as Finland’s ’Concrete City’, achieved in the arts in recent years? Pinkkiä betonia! (Pink Concrete!) tells about the high points, the ARS11 exhibition, and the arts in Kouvola now and in the past. It also describes how the Kouvola Art Museum became the Poikilo Museum and opens avenues for art-historical research concerning the North Kymenlaakso region. Also presented are the Poikilo Museum’s collections that have expanded through municipal amalgamation to range from the classics of Finnish art to contemporary African art.
