TURBO ROR

Revolutions on Request – did someone order a revolution? ROR is Back! But what is ROR? How does it look, feel and sound? Is it art or circuses? ROR came, saw and conquered in 2000, but somehow vanished in its own stardust. Now, under commission from the Serlachius, ROR is back from the future, complete with the wonderful alphabet of a new ROR world.

The TURBO ROR catalogue is a tribute to the ROR collective’s brash, in-your-face style. Borrowing the turbo-charged aesthetic of the legendary youth magazine Suosikki, this publication provides a comprehensive review of the ROR alphabet in the form of interviews, album reviews and fanzines. Also included is a giant fan poster, comic strip and sticker sheet! Don’t be a wuss – roar like ROR! ROR rocks! Punk forever!

This publication accompanies an exhibition designed and curated by the ROR collective: Petri Ala-Maunus, Jiri Geller, Alvar Gullichsen and Ilse Rossander. The following artists have additionally been invited to participate: Riikka Hyvönen, Juho Juntunen, Nikolo Kerimov, Isto Kotavuopio, Sanna-Mari Liukkonen, Mr. Lordi, Painter Jude, Paula Pääkkönen, Pekko Vasantola, Vilunki 3000, Sheung Yiu and Ro Zahir.
