Antero Toikka

► Antero Toikka (born 1954) is a sculptor with a long career, who is known for his environmental artworks in steel, which are often colour­ful with reduced forms and a geometric appearance. There are some twenty public works of art by Toikka in various parts of Finland. One of his best-known pieces is Kasvukäytävä (Corridor of Growth) on highway 4 leading from Helsinki to Lahti. In Toikka’s works of sculpture, art and architecture are combined with the surrounding landscape and give it emphasis. The book was published in connection with the 2015 summer exhibition of the Serlachius Museums in Mänttä.
