► The artist Elina Brotherus’ latest works are performative, absurd, serious and funny. They were inspired by event scores – scripts for works made by Fluxus artists in the 1960s and 1970s – brief sets of instructions that Brotherus has followed in making her photographs and video works. Elina Brotherus is one of the best-known Finnish artists. She won the French Carte blanche PMU prize in 2017, which was followed by an exhibition at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
This limited edition handmade box created in the spirit of Fluxus is launched in connection with Brotherus’ exhibition Playgroud at Serlachius Museums. It contains 80 cards representing her newest works and an essay on Brotherus printed on a poster. The essay is by the curator of the exhibition, Dr Susan Bright.
