Lauri Laine

► Lauri Laine (born 1946) is one of the most prestigious and internation­ally famous Finnish painters. Italian art has been a key influence in Laine´s painting. Since 1986, he has also worked regularly in Rome. Links can be seen in his works with both Modernism and the Classical tradition of painting, particularly the Early Renaissance and the Baroque.
